IYC launched the BuildingUp program to a panel in the University of Melbourne for appraisals about its program plan. The BuildingUp program was created by Youth Board Member and Master of Social Policy Student Maria Matthews after she raised awareness with the organisation about an opportunity for Board of Management and Youth Reference Group members for to have a platform for mentorship and adult/youth collaboration. The program also serves to be a research project on the youth engagement needs of its target cohort of young people. The panel also reviewed other social initiatives authored by other students from the University of Melbourne. IYC received compliments and approving feedback from the panel about the program. The organisation plans to raise the needed funds for the program.
